Sophie's 3rd grade class had a Hawaiian themed end-of-the-year celebration. I made these fruit kabobs... my two little munchkins, Ben and Ava, picked the flowers and added them to the tray!

An Amateur Photographer, The Bluegrass and a Fence

Here are some pics of the kids I took... we found a beatiful spot across the highway from our house, a horse farm with a couple miles of this gorgeous fence. The kids did great and afterwards we went and had some ice cream. TJ wouldn't let me get any of just him (teenagers :).

We had the Marcum's over... they were brave enough to come and try my ribs (first time i've ever made them). We had lots of fun and laughs. Here's some pics...

Boutiques and Art

The little ones and I had lunch in downtown Georgetown
today... afterwards we did a little shopping... I picked
up this cute dress and hat for Elsie at a little boutique called
"Between Friends" .

The girls take an art class from a local artist on tuesday evenings... here they are with their latest picasos!

Two Things...

Today I set the Lexington radio stations in my Honda...

1. corny John Tesh advice/music

2. some trendy alternative station

3. an eighties station

4. a soft rock station

5. a country station (that's for you Dad)

6. Finally, NPR, always gotta have that

This is a big deal for me... at last I know we're staying put... At least for the next two years anyway, and there's nowhere else I want my family to be except right here, right now... I love this place, and a year ago I hardly knew it existed!!

The next thing... something I love most, of course, My little Elsie gave us her first tiny belly laugh today with the biggest smiles... Maybe I'll try to record the next one and see if i can get some audio on here...
